The security forces on Wednesday stopped the truck in Kirikhan town on the Syrian border, Hurriyet newspaper reported.
A significant quantity of ammunition and weapons were discovered in the truck, whose drivers claimed they were carrying aid on behalf of the pro-Islamic Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH).
But IHH dismissed the allegations as "slanderous". "Our organization has nothing to do with this case," a spokesman for the relief group said.
Official Turkish documents and others from the United States reported that Turkey had shipped 47 tonnes of weapons to the terrorists since June.
But Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz denied weapons of war had been sent to Syria, saying only hunting rifles had been exported which constitutes a frank confession of providing terrorists with weapons regardless of the weapons kind.
Turkish officials and mass media mentioned that transferring weapons and ammunition to the terrorists in Syria is continuous under the supervision of Erdogan' s government and the national intelligence apparatus.
Dozens of intelligence and media reports pointed that the Turkish sides which support the armed terrorist groups in Syria are using the pretext of humanitarian aid as a cover for smuggling arms' shipments to terrorists in Syria and that the Turkish authorities are deliberately turning a blind eye on these processes .
Dean of Turkish journalists Sami Cohen described as "failed and sterile" the Turkish policy, stressing that his country's policy towards Syria was very wrong and failed. " It was not in favor of the ruling Justice and Development government to interfere in Syria's internal affairs."
