A source in the Babil police force command centre said that a civilian died and two others were injured following mortar shells attack launched today by unknown gunmen, in a residential area north of Hilla city. The source added that four mortar shells fell on AL-Assriya village part of Al-Hassowa district which also led to damages to some houses.
